Good Stuff

Don't look under the bed in your motel room. I can't complain about this room though. It wasn't cleaned well, but it was huge and we got it somewhat cheap. It even had a computer connected to the internet. Jinhae, ROK

Found a pile of these beauties over looking the lovely Naktong river. I joke--and am ridiculed on a constant basis for it--about drinking the water. I guess some years ago, yet recent, there was a little problem with the Gumi factories dumping whatever they wanted to into the river. I've heard of colleagues recoiling in horror when Justin, a friend from Texas needing to swim in a dirty river, swam across the Naktong south of town. I have no clue what is in these syringes; I didn't touch them, making sure I had excellent balance while shooting this close-up.

Same motel in Jinhae, perfectly beneath the window next to the above pictured bed. I was a little curious what the view was like and found that someone had left a little something for the next guests.

Cars

This beautiful car was parked in the Skagit Valley WA, USA. Just up the road was a scenic spread on the Skagit river--a trailer, quite possibly a Meth lab, with two dudes sitting outside. I was informed of a "much better fishing spot" just up the river when I tried to fish on their front lawn. I wouldn't mind living in such a place, maybe even retiring there to a booming cottage industry. Get back to man's pre-industrial roots.

This hot ride was parked out on the Olympic Penninsula, near the Northwestern most point in the US. The owner probably lives on one of the cold beaches in the area.

Couch

This couch was sitting by a resevoir just waiting for a barbecue or possibly two young lovers to come and fool around on it. Whatever the case, it looked inviting.

Scattered Trash

Tire found in a creek that more resembled the mote of some post-apocalyptic fortress in Masan, ROK.

Trash found on a beach in Pohang. To the south stretched the massive POSCO complex, the largest steel works in South Korea.

Doesn't this shoe look cozy, warmly wrapped in the dead weeds? Gumi, Indong area.

Hampyeong

Rusted can, floating in water.

Trash! Revel in it!

This fine toilet has been sitting outside our apartment building for at least two months. No one has put the requisite sticker on it, so it will sit, linger, whathaveyou for some time yet.

Styrofoam, a whole pile of it I found near a restaurant that looks like a pirate ship over in Indong. I don't know how long it was there, but it was beautiful. Really, when is styrofoam not beautiful?
